Here at Hike365 we believe in adding a bit of extra weight to our day packs when hitting the trail if it means lunch on the summit is as good as at home! We make this wrap all-in the morning of and keep our dressing separate for the slaw until we are ready to eat!
In-season veggies for cooking are where it's at we think! It's winter here in Alberta and both kale + sweet potato are in season which means they are always looking to be used, so why not together!
After a day out on the snow, it's nice to grab something out of the freezer, heat, garnish, and scarf down! + We think this Pumpkin Chili does just that!!
The perfect way to kick off a day in the snow is with this delicious + wholesome breakfast!
Winter is coming, yes it's true! No matter though, because as it sets in we love to get in the kitchen and make a freezer full of soups ready for those shorter days and cold air! We had a great time this weekend on our Tent Ridge Hike and were happy to pull a container of this soup from the freezer to heat up after a long day in the mountains!
Here in the Rockies, autumn always arrives with a bang! This morning I woke up to snow, and decided to whip up a warm and delicious fish pie for dinner while I curl up with a good book and some autumn scented pumpkin candles!
