Located less than five minutes from downtown Canmore, A Bear & Bison is a custom owner-built Mountain Inn which features bed & breakfast style hospitality, luxurious king beds and views of the Three Sisters Mountains from every room! It made for a great basecamp during a recent Avalanche Skills course we hosted in the mountains with our friends at Eddie Bauer!
This past year has been full of challenges and changes, but one of the best things we’ve seen in our community is that more people are looking to get outside and they’re making more conscious purchases, too! When we came across Title Nine, a woman-owned and run brand, we fell in love!
Do you venture out of bounds at the resort, off the hiking trails or into the backcountry of the mountains during winter?
If so, an Avalanche Skills Training Course Level 1 (AST 1) is your place to start. You don't need any experience to take this course. It is a must for everyone recreating in the backcountry or slack country.
Join us for a 2 day course in Canmore with Canadian Rockies Mountain Guides on November 16th + 17th, 2019! In this post we are going to go over what our upcoming AST1 course teaches, why it is unique, what you will need to bring and more!
