When you wake up before the sun rises when winter camping a warm drink to kick start your day is probably the first thing on your mind. That and "where the heck is my headlamp??"

This beautiful paddle adventure is located in the East Kootenays south down Hwy 93 starting from the Invermere Boat Launch.

We will either head out on the water at 1700, finishing around 2130 (if we decide to paddle all the way to Radium and shuttle back via vehicle) or 1900 finishing around 2130 (if we decide to simply enjoy an out and back sunset adventure from Invermere). Once we know how many folks are joining in the fun, we will decide on our route!

#hike365 | #redpaddle | @redpaddleco Hi Everyone - Sheena @findyourwildcollective here! Today I’m sharing my story and images from Day 1 of the Hike365 #northcreativecamp2019!

Given the beautiful day we arrived to the islands from various time zones, the decision for whether to sleep or to hike was made easy! πŸ₯Ύβ–ΆοΈ πŸ›

My first Norway midnight sun amongst looming giants that rise above the tropical blue waters of the Norwegian Sea was one I’ll never shake. Being north of the Arctic Circle where sun sets and rises at midnight and washes the landscape in gold paralyzed me for a magic hour βœ¨β›°πŸ‡³πŸ‡΄

Hi there, Sheena Pate mountain mama based out of the Crown of the Continent and story wrangler over at @crowngeotourism / side project @findyourwildcollective. I have a severe case of wanderlust and love capturing relationships, distinct communities and unspoiled landscapes.
β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €
If you had asked me at the beginning of the year if Norway was on my 2019 travels I would have laughed. Laughed and then spent that entire night thinking about Norway. I live in the Crown of the Continent, just within the 18 million acres of my "backyard" there are many a lifetimes of epic adventures to be had, so it's a little easier to brush off distant land travels.

Norway... that one simple word and the idea of traveling with the ever talented and all around good human @viktorianorth / @hike365 along with a handful of adventure-minded gals I'd never met, to be immersed in beauty and creative vibes...now that's something you don't smolder. And with that, that's how I dropped everything, roped Grammy and Poppy into hanging with my toddler and took a chance on a long overdue opportunity to feed my mind, body and soul.
β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €
There's nothing more rejuvenating than being among women passionate about travel and capturing the magic of place with a click of the shutter.

As I get ready to share a few of my favourite images from trip here on the feed the Hike365 community, I also send much love to the posse of women who made this mountain momma feel inspired again.

#WhyIHike | #EbContributor | #LiveYourAdventure | @eddiebauer πŸ” 𝔼𝕍𝔼ℕ𝕋 𝔸𝕃𝔼ℝ𝕋 πŸ” Come join us for a 𝔽ℝ𝔼𝔼 mom + baby hike on Tuesday August 6th to Picklejar Lakes! Swipe right to meet your hike organizers + their little ones!

This beautiful hike is located in Elbow-Sheep Wildland Provincial Park on Hwy 40, southeast of Highwood Pass.
The trip is a 9km out-and-back hike with 442 meters of elevation gain to four stunning alpine lakes. The hike consists of a few steep inclines to gain elevation quickly, followed by stunning views of lakes in the valley below. This hike is considered a moderate hike due to the short, steep, final approach of the lakes.

We will spend some time by the lakes exploring, having lunch and allowing the little ones to stretch their legs.
Because this is a mom and baby hike we will take breaks as needed for the babies who may need changes and/or to be fed. We will be out on trail for approximately 4-5 hours so plan accordingly.

Dogs are allowed on the trail but must remain on leash at all times.

I’ve never been good at coming up with the perfect words to accompany my images. Maybe that’s because photographs have always been the way I tell the bulk of a story, whether it’s my own or a clients. When it comes to posting regularly on IG, the biggest hurdle for me these days is adding a caption. I often go long periods without adding to my feed because I don’t know what to say with words. Anyone else have similar feels? Throw in’ it back to Norway, all 6,000 kilometres as the crow flies of it! 6K, that’s the distance from my home in Canmore to where @tullitha and I spent a week adventuring with an amazing crew of kick booty women for my annual Creative Camp!

Ladies, if you want in on the exclusive early bird registration for 2020, be sure to sign your email up via the link in my profile before November 25!
